AUD/USD Technical Analysis: trapped in a falling channel, AUD hits session lows below 100-hour MA
- The AUD/USD is currently trading at the 100-hour moving average (MA) of 0.7273, having hit a session low of 0.7273 a few minutes before press time. The sharp losses in the Asian equities are likely weighing over the Aussie dollar.
- On the hourly chart, the currency pair is trapped inside the falling channel (bearish pattern). A channel breakout, if confirmed, could be considered a sign the pullback from the recent high of 0.7338 has ended and the bulls have regained control.
- The intraday outlook, however, would remain bearish as long as the currency is trapped in a falling channel.
