Japan Govt: Economy to grow faster than private-sector projections in FY 2019

The Japanese Cabinet Office released its mid-year economic projections on Friday, highlighting the following key indicators.

Nominal growth forecast seen at 1.7% versus 2.5% previous.

The fiscal year 2018 real growth forecast lowered to 1.5% from 1.8%.

Inflation estimate remains at about 1.1%.

The fiscal year 2019 real growth estimated at 1.5%.

The fiscal year 2019 nominal growth estimated at 2.8%.
