USD/RUB rebounds from 64.30, still in 2-week lows
The Russian currency has given away initial gains vs. the greenback, now pushing USD/RUB to retake the mid-64.00s after a brief test of 64.30.
USD/RUB keeps 2-week lows
The pair is trading almost unchanged today although it is still navigating 2-week lows in the lower-64.00s.
The now softer tone in crude oil prices has dragged the barrel of Brent crude to challenge session lows in the $47.20/10 band and has removed some support from RUB, while the pick up in the demand for the greenback has been also collaborating with the rebound.
USD/RUB levels to watch
At the moment the pair is losing 0.09% at 64.50 facing the next support at 64.31 (low Sep.7) followed by 64.24 (low Aug.26) and finally 63.41 (low Aug.18). On the other hand, a break above 65.10 (100-day sma) would aim for 65.97 (high Sep.1) and then 66.29 (high Jun.14).
