US: Initial Jobless Claims fell to 316K
FXstreet.com (Edinburgh) - According to the Labour Department, the Americans that filed in their first initial claims for regular state unemployment-insurance benefits fell by 10K last week to a seasonally adjusted 326K in the week ended November 22, bettering expectations at 330K and coming from 326K (revised from 323K) in the previous print. Continuing claims, which reflect people already receiving benefits, dropped by 100K to a seasonally adjusted 2.776 million in the week ended November 15 vs. 2.876 million in the previous week (revised).
