Worried about financial risks emerging in new areas – BOE’s Cunliffe
FXStreet (Mumbai) - The Bank of England (BOE) deputy governor Cunliffe, while speaking in Paris at a bank regulation conference, expressed concerns about the financial risks emerging in new areas.
Cunliffe said illiquidity at funds can risk generating runs and added that, “"By ending too big to fail one of the things we do is dampen the leverage machine inside the banking system by getting bondholders to act as brakes against too much risk".
